Self-driving cars rely on lidar to detect and identify objects around them, which helps the car decide how to drive. Lidar generates a detailed 3-D map of the world in real time by sending out pulses of infrared light and measuring how long they take to come back after hitting nearby objects. Both lidar and NODAR measure the range to the target, but NODAR does so more efficiently at lower cost.
Leaf Jiang is the CEO of NODAR. Leaf is an engineering industry executive with a proven track record for solving Fortune 500s' toughest problems. Leaf has won 7 prestigious engineering awards, is a top MIT Ph.D. Electrical Engineering and Computer Science graduate, and is adept at leading, planning, coordinating, strategizing, and resolving engineering challenges. Leaf is an expert in lidar with 12 years experience designing, building, and testing advanced lidar systems at MIT Lincoln Labs.
