NODAR is developing 3D vision systems for mass-market autonomy that we believe will improve the performance and safety of autonomous vehicles, and ultimately will save millions of lives.

  • The Algorithm Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, implementation, optimization, profiling, and experimental evaluation of computer algorithms to further improve our world-class computer vision technology. Your algorithms will be deployed to hundreds of millions of cars around the world, will help to save lives, and will be important for climate change mitigation, since smart algorithms that consume less energy can help reduce carbon emissions.

    Specific job activities include:

    ● Develop new, real time image processing algorithms that advance capabilities and improve the speed, accuracy and data quality of the NODAR system

    ● Improve upon previously developed algorithms

    ● Perform algorithm modeling and real time implementation

    ● Document results and write application notes

    ● Present results to the internal team

    ● Develop IP and write patent applications

    Requirements:

    ● Ph.D. from a leading university in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Robotics,

    Computer Science or a similar field

    ● Strong math and analytical skills

    ● Knowledge of computer vision and AI

    ● Strong work ethic and proven performance in school (excellent GPA, challenging

    courses, well-written thesis, and many high-quality publications)

    ● Good communication skills and good at writing clear and concise technical documents

    ● Software experience: Python/C++/git

    The candidate will:

    ● Report to the Director of Engineering

    ● Take initiative to explore, learn, and implement innovative technologies within the business in order to improve the products

    ● Travel < 10%

    Job Description:

    We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to help us create the best real-time 3D sensing and perception system for autonomous vehicles.

    As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing Nodar’s software architecture, and will lead the implementation of best-in-class programming practices and continuous integration within the organization. You will be involved in implementing state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms and deploying Nodar’s multiview camera system.

    The ideal candidate is an achiever that goes above and beyond, learns quickly, is self-motivated, and works effectively with minimal supervision.

    Responsibilities:

    ● Designing and implementing software architecture

    ● Creating customer facing applications

    ● Enforcing good coding practices and continuous integration

    ● Implementing unit and integration tests

    ● Advancing towards automotive compliance certifications, e.g. ISO26262

    Skills and Qualifications:

    ● BS, MS, or PhD in computer science

    ● 5+ years of experience working with real-time production software and building commercial products

    ● Excellent knowledge of C++ 11/14/17

    ● Excellent knowledge of Python

    ● Experience with continuous integration and version control

    ● Experience working with Unix-based operating systems

    ● Working knowledge of Docker

    ● Helpful but not required: Experience working with NVIDIA embedded systems such as Jetson and Drive, experience with ASPICE, MISRA and AUTOSAR standards, and experience with OpenCV and CUDA.

  • NODAR Inc., an MIT-alumni startup, is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer in support of

    Autonomous Vehicle 3D Sensor Solutions. This position will be located with our team in

    Cambridge, MA.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    NODAR Inc. is building next-generation 3D vision technology for the automotive and robotics

    markets. If you are enthusiastic about solving challenging autonomous driving perception

    problems, and shaping the future of transportation, and have what it takes to achieve these, then

    this position is for you. You will work with a highly-skilled, multidisciplinary team of engineers to

    disrupt the autonomous driving sensor space.

    The Senior Computer Vision engineer’s primary responsibilities include:

    ● Create vision algorithms to filter sensor data, fuse 2D/3D data streams, and improve

    active stereo vision imagery

    ● Conceive of and conduct experiments

    ● Implement new features for 3D sensors

    ● Document and report on progress and results

    The candidate will ideally have some or all of the following:

    ● Software development experience (Python/C++/OpenCV)

    ● Epipolar geometry, multi-view camera systems, and/or stereo vision

    ● Robot Operating System (ROS)

    ● Experience with embedded development with Nvidia hardware

    ● Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

    ● Real-time software development experience -- especially experience with automotive

    SoCs

    The candidate will:

    ● Report to the Director of Engineering

    ● Take initiative to explore, learn, and implement innovative technologies within the

    business in order to improve the products

    ● Be capable of reading and understanding research papers, implementing state-of-the-art

    algorithms for real-time systems, and dealing with unique technical challenges

    ● Travel as required, up to 10%

    ● Support proof-of-concept trials and integration work with customers as needed

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    ● PhD computer science, engineering, math, physics or related area, and at least 5 years

    of relevant experience

    ● Ability to quickly learn new things, and work comfortably in a constantly evolving

    environment.

    ● Work well with others, being able to contribute to a positive work culture

    ● Computer vision

    ● SfM, SLAM, stereo vision, multi-view geometry

    Job Description:

    We are looking for a Director of Marketing to help us take NODAR’s marketing to the next level. This means helping to refine our marketing strategy, further our understanding of who our customers are and how to reach them, working on positioning and competitive understanding, supporting sales, handling conferences, etc. The ideal candidate will have experience marketing technologies in or to the automotive, trucking, logistics, or related industries. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-directed individual who is passionate about marketing and the autonomous vehicle market.

    Responsibilities:

    Develop marketing plan and budget

    Refine company and competitive positioning

    Manage all aspects of marketing, including website, brand development, lead capture, conferences

    Promote NODAR’s brand within the industry via blog, white papers, speaking engagements

    Manage PR agency and activities

    Present strategy and plan to management and maintain alignment with stakeholders

    Support sales and marketing activities in terms of collateral development, presentations

    Support conferences and expos, booth creation

    Skills and Qualifications:

    BA or BS, MBA desired

    2+ years B2B marketing at tech company in or related to automotive, robotics, aerospace, industrial equipment, robotics, or logistics

    Strengths in doing business modeling and projections a plus

    Experience in B2B software marketing

    Technical knowledge of software, sensors like lidar, radar, cameras, autonomous vehicles

    Experience doing market analysis, TAM analysis, pricing analysis

    Experience developing and giving presentations

    Experience with Google Docs, MS Excel, Apple Keynote or MS Powerpoint, Slack

    Graphic design experience a plus (Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator, InDesign)
