Dr. Volker Kaese

Dr. Volker Kaese is an EV/AV expert and US-based top management consultant with over 20 years of corporate development and innovation experience in the automotive industry. He previously served as Chief Technology Officer for Products & Production at Indigo Technologies (Woburn, MA) and Head of Innovation Management at AUDI AG headquarters in Germany.

During his two-decade career with the Volkswagen Group, Dr. Kaese spearheaded technology strategy, global scouting, and pre-development roadmapping across all VW brands. A pioneer in sustainable mobility, his notable achievements include leading the development of the revolutionary 307-MPG Volkswagen XL1 hybrid—the precursor to VW’s mass-market electric vehicles—and managing early QA for VW’s first battery systems.
